This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, how we protect it and what your rights are, in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.

Who is responsible for your information

Plan B Électro ("we") operates the store located at 7940 Boulevard Saint-Michel, Montréal (QC) H1Z 3E1, as well as this website. We are responsible for the personal information you give us through this site.

Person in charge of the protection of personal information: Pierre Saint-Dic, Owner.
Email: picarsad@gmail.com
Phone: 514-725-1111

Information we collect

We only collect what is needed to respond to your request.

  • Price request form: your name, phone number, email address (optional), the type and condition of appliance you want, the product you are interested in, your message, your preferred contact method, the language of the page and the date and time of your consent.
  • Technical data: like any website, our host processes technical data (IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
  • Audience measurement (only if you accept): site traffic statistics. See "Cookies and tracking technologies".

We do not ask for any sensitive information and there are no customer accounts on this site.

Why we use your information

  • To reply and give you the price and availability of the requested appliance;
  • to call or write to you using your preferred contact method;
  • to protect the site from spam and abuse;
  • to understand how the site is used, if you accepted audience measurement.

We do not use your information for advertising or newsletters, and we do not sell it.

Your consent

By ticking the box on the form and submitting it, you consent to our using your information to respond to your request. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see "Your rights").

Who has access to your information

Your request is sent by email to authorized people at the store. Only those people have access to it, as part of their duties. We use the following service providers:

  • Cloudflare, Inc.: website hosting, content delivery and attack protection.
  • Google (Gmail and Google Apps Script): receipt of your request, email delivery to the store and storage.
  • Pageo.ca: design and management of the site, delivery of your request to the store.
  • Google (Tag Manager and Analytics): site audience measurement, only if you accept.

These providers act on our behalf to provide their services. We do not sell or rent your information. We may disclose it where the law requires.

Where your information is processed

Our providers' servers may be located outside Quebec, including in Canada and the United States. Your information may therefore be processed outside Quebec. Before using these services, we assessed the privacy factors, as the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep your request for 12 months after receiving it, then destroy or anonymize it, unless the law requires longer retention.

Security

The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and access to request emails is limited to authorized people. If a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury occurred, we would notify the people concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information, as the law requires.

Cookies and tracking technologies

Technologies strictly necessary for the operation and security of the site are always active. We also use an audience measurement tool (Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used. It is off by default and only turns on if you click "Accept" in the banner. This site does not use targeted advertising.

Your choice is remembered in your browser. You can change it at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.

Your rights

At any time, you may:

  • find out what information we hold about you and get a copy;
  • have inaccurate information corrected;
  • withdraw your consent;
  • ask us to stop disseminating your information or to destroy it, in the cases provided by law.

To exercise these rights, write or call the person in charge (contact details above). We will reply within 30 days and may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec: cai.gouv.qc.ca.
